DID LOVE REALLY WIN ?

I think by now everyone must be very well concerned about the same sex marriage that has been legalized in United State and some of you guys have even changed your FACEBOOK  profile picture into rainbow color. Yup I remember I did it too! But did that make any sense ?

Being a Nepali citizen , living in a very conservative society and supporting the same sex marriage is like going to mosque and praying to Buddha .

However , we all are  grown up in a society where inter caste marriage are considered as illegal or going against once religion and blah blah blah . But I really don't understand where did  we go wrong ?

 If you guys have read The Mahabharata , we will come across several instances of inter-caste marriages , For example Agnimitra , a Brahmin king married a Kshatriya princess Malavika and also Santanu married Ganga and later to Satyabati , both of his wife were from outside his caste .
If you go through the Tibetan history you will find how Songtsen Gombo ' the founder of Tibetan Empire ' married to Nepali princess and to a Chinese princess .

But still this doesn't make any sense to our society . does it ?

Even in 21st century where other country are rebelling for same sex marriage we are still stuck behind fighting with our own neighbors saying ( Timro chora lay mero chori bagayo and all ) Come on ????? Elope is the only option you gave your daughter even though she clearly said she loves Raju or Ramu .The only thing you missed here is not supporting your daughter and now look what you have lost . I know she is not at all happy to leave you like this .As for daughter ' her parents are the people she wanted to be like when she grows up but unfortunately this conservative society has forced her leave you ' Only if our society was little free about this issue no any love war would occur .

I know this is definitely an impossible thing but if you see when United Nation can legalized the guy marriage why can't we accept the INTER-CASTE marriage ? And let the LOVE WIN forever !
