DID LOVE REALLY WIN ?

I think by now everyone must be very well concerned about the same sex marriage that has been legalized in United State and some of you guys have even changed your FACEBOOK  profile picture into rainbow color. Yup I remember I did it too! But did that make any sense ?

Being a Nepali citizen , living in a very conservative society and supporting the same sex marriage is like going to mosque and praying to Buddha .

However , we all are  grown up in a society where inter caste marriage are considered as illegal or going against once religion and blah blah blah . But I really don't understand where did  we go wrong ?

 If you guys have read The Mahabharata , we will come across several instances of inter-caste marriages , For example Agnimitra , a Brahmin king married a Kshatriya princess Malavika and also Santanu married Ganga and later to Satyabati , both of his wife were from outside his caste .
If you go through the Tibetan history you will find how Songtsen Gombo ' the founder of Tibetan Empire ' married to Nepali princess and to a Chinese princess .

But still this doesn't make any sense to our society . does it ?

Even in 21st century where other country are rebelling for same sex marriage we are still stuck behind fighting with our own neighbors saying ( Timro chora lay mero chori bagayo and all ) Come on ????? Elope is the only option you gave your daughter even though she clearly said she loves Raju or Ramu .The only thing you missed here is not supporting your daughter and now look what you have lost . I know she is not at all happy to leave you like this .As for daughter ' her parents are the people she wanted to be like when she grows up but unfortunately this conservative society has forced her leave you ' Only if our society was little free about this issue no any love war would occur .

I know this is definitely an impossible thing but if you see when United Nation can legalized the guy marriage why can't we accept the INTER-CASTE marriage ? And let the LOVE WIN forever !

The day when the whole nation was crying . The massive earthquake hits Nepal with the magnitude of       7.8 (m) .One of the worst natural disaster to strike Nepal since the 1934 earthquake .Most of us can't even imagine how we felt at that time . In this hard time we Nepalese should stand up and help each other. I know everyone is busy in their own way , some must be busy volunteering , some donating and some might be  taking advantage of this situation but here is a particular team about whom  I want to highlight  in my blog because I personally know how they went through trying very hard to reach every right place where the relief was needed the most . I am able to volunteer in his team for couple of times but unfortunately  I couldn't make it to other   trip  other places to volunteer because of my work . He and his team  first started their aid from Boudha and Bhaktapur on 26th of April when the whole areas local shops were closed , after this they went to Sankhu , Dhading ,visited Nepal orthopedic hospital to distribute fruits and snacks to the victims and covered many places of Sindhupalchok and Gorkha Yet they still wants to help many places . And as always I want to thanks H.E The Senge Tenzin Rinpoche  ,without whom it won't be possible! .

STREET CHILDREN AT BOUDHANATH

               The existence of  street children  is increasing day by day in Nepal . 

To begin with, one must understand the term ‘street children’ itself. Who are they? Do they have parents ? If yes , where? 

The same question was on my mind whenever I see them sniffing those shoe glue and begging money near boudha  gate yet so happy, but after meeting Krishna (street child)  I actually came to know what they were going through and was always so curious to know the story behind their smile .

It was few days back , when Krishna came running to me after seeing bottle of coke in my hand . I just smiled at him and we had a long conversation sitting at the stairs at one of the shop near Boudha gate .

He says : Didi ( sister) You don't know the reason behind why we are on road , I myself got three younger siblings ( he was of 12 years old ) and my father he died when I was 7 years, my mother was really having hard time so , she got married to an uncle who is always abusing us , that's the reason I eloped from my village and came here . Now I am very happy with my friends . 

When I asked him why are they  not buying food instead of that glue ? He gave me a very relevant  answer.

Saying : First of all when I  sniff that glue I   become unconscious of what I am doing , I have to steal , I have to beg and this glue gives me strength to do what ever I want to do  and second good thing about the glue is  I don't feel hungry until I am back to conscious and the  stuff that you are calling glue is actually a food for us didi , Its a one time investment  (laughs) then suddenly one of his friend called his name and he just walked away putting his hand inside his white jacket which almost seems black to me , he looked back to me and said 'bye didi'.

And that's one of my reason why I titled my blog  " STORIES BEHIND THE SMILES"  

I really hope you guys will love reading my blog , though I will not be posting my stories but definitely the true stories behind their smile .
